✨ “Remember: fear shows up because you’re facing something unknown, not because you’re not capable.”

Fear is often the first thing to appear when something new knocks on our door. It shows up disguised as a warning and starts whispering, “maybe you shouldn’t go there,” simply because it doesn’t know what will happen. We were taught that having control means being safe… but this year I understood something that truly shook me: trying to control everything is actually a way of being out of control.

We can’t predict every step of the path, but we can recognize that fear does not mean incapacity. It’s just showing us that we’re standing in front of something that invites us to grow. And to move through it, we need to expand our mindset, our strategies, and our energy.

Take a pause and remember: what did you need when you were a child and felt afraid? Maybe a hug, a voice saying “I’m here with you,” or someone who simply listened.

Today, become the adult that child needed. And when I say “adult,” I don’t mean someone serious, rigid, or stressed. Let’s rewrite that word.

Being an adult means being someone who listens to themselves, who sets healthy boundaries, who loves what they do, who has fun, who takes care of themselves, and who also holds their fears with compassion.

Let’s become expanded adults, walking hand in hand with the child we once were, and lovingly guiding them with each step into the unknown.
